Welcome to Teddy Bear Belgian Malinois. Belgian Malinois are one of four Varieties/Breeds that are commonly found in
the Belgian Shepherds(only three are recognized by the AKC). They have short hair usually reddish fawn to clear fawn with
black overlay, masking, and ears. Males can range from 24 to 26 inches Females 22 to 24 inches (at the withers) Weight in
the Malinois ranges from 55-65 for males and 45-55 for females (according to the AKC standard). They are a relatively
active dog and do best with people who enjoy a dog that will be an active participant in the families daily life. Malinois are
wonderful companions, fiersome protectors, and extremly intelligent. They are not the dog for everyone however, as there
constant on the go personality and creative thinking can make them a handful for the average household. If you don't have a
sense of humor and daily time to spend with a dog than you probably shouldn't own a mal. Our Kennel name was derrived
from our first malinois (actually a mix we found as a stray) Teddy is a great dog and becasue of him we found this
wonderful breed. Our plan at Teddy Bear Kennels is to create sound solid dogs that will work for you in whatever avenue
you choose and still be social loving pets. Be it herding, obedience, agility, protection/police work, or the show ring we try
to breed for the "complete" malinois. If you are looking for a "hard core" working dog this may not be the place for you, but
if you are looking for a dog that will give you 100% plus in whatever avenues you try we may have or may be able to find
what you are looking for. We preffer the working type Malinois, and therefore most of our dogs pedigrees are full of
outstanding working dogs. We feel that by breeding for health, temperment, drive, and structure as a package, we can
produce the best possible Malinois for all disciplines of work without compromising beauty. For any information on any of
